Project Overview

This project involved the expansion of an existing corporate office into adjacent unoccupied space. The primary goal was to create a bright, modern environment featuring new boardroom and meeting facilities, a dedicated lounge area, and specialized IT testing zones.

Scope of Works

Space Reconfiguration: Installation of plasterboard partitions and acoustic glazed screens to create private meeting areas.
Acoustic Solutions: Integration of a Becker sliding/stacking door system to provide flexible, sound-proofed boardroom spaces.
Mechanical & Electrical: Full alteration of power and data layouts, alongside the installation of a new high-efficiency A/C system.
Interior Finishes: Installation of Milliken carpets, vinyl flooring, and updated wall finishes throughout the expansion.
Specialist Zones: Creation of a new glazed lounge area and dedicated IT testing environments.

Materials Used

Acoustics: Becker sliding stacking door system and acoustic-rated glazing.

Challenges & Solutions

Live Environment Logistics: Operating within a "business as usual" setting required strict noise control and scheduled works to avoid disrupting the client’s daily operations.
Second-Floor Access: Navigating material deliveries and waste removal from the second floor was managed via a "load and wait" principle to maintain site efficiency and safety.
Sustainability: To maximize the budget and reduce environmental impact, we focused on remodeling and recycling existing acoustic elements and furniture where possible.
